I got too much to even talk about for Christmas.
I stuffed myself with salted rice and seven thousand different chicken dishes over the course of the Holidays. I visited relatives, they visited us. We flooed so much I think I'm permanently dizzied.
I now have so much brand new real Chinese Silk in various forms and colours I could fill my dorm with it.
My little sister got new dolls and we've played with them for about ten hours straight. (I'm really a girl at heart.)
More important than silk or dolls. My mother bought me some old books. Really lovely literature, with worn binding and yellowed, crisp pages. I made her a really nice quilt, out of fabric scraps and old yards of silk (whoops, mentioned silk again) and cotton that I've aquired over years of going to China and Korea. :]
I got my father something to help his english. It's what he asked me for. This way, he can communicate with his costumers better.
Sayaka sent me a book, I knitted her a scarf and gloves.
*Yawn* I'm off.

Finally we get to go home. I thought it would never be time.
I packed all my stuff and I'm doing a little "I-need-to-get-out-of-here" dance.
I know the first thing I'm going to do when I get home;

My scarf does not match my uniform.
This is much more serious than it may sound.
This is more than just one mismatched outfit.
This is the same mismatched outfit.

Damn.
Day.
Sigh.
This is what I get for not packing for school fully. And having to owl my mother for my winter provisions.
Of course, I'll owl her again asking her to please send me my Ravenclaw scarf.
This scarf isn't even warm.
It's more like an Autumn scarf.
Which is probably why she sent it.
She probably thought "It's autumn, I'll send her an autumn scarf."
And just grabbed this... this... scarlet scarf.
Scarlet does not go with blue.
It does not go with bronze.
I mean... honestly!
Who sends black mittens and a scarlet scarf?
Why not scarlet mittens and a scarlet scarf?
Or black mittens and a black scarf?
And she knows I'm a Ravenclaw!
I can't just not match.
I am not one of those unfashionable lesbians.
I love my mother.
I love her.
Dearly.
But this woman is getting too old to dress herself.

Okay, so I'm back from Hiatus. ^^ The department ended up cancelling my term paper but then some other junk came up. Mainly the scramble that comes with the end of the marking period and my own illness.
I have a lot to do hogwart_life wise, mainly getting both my character's journals updated before someone yells at me... >> but I also haven't updated that friends console in a while, and I need to get more interaction between Li and others, and Victoria and others. So if there are any takers, let me know.
Okay, off to shower then go shopping for my dumb Christmas Party at work. xD (And then I have a movie date with some friends but not sure whether I'll be home between) And then I'll be back and doing all my h_l stuff. :)

Whoo-hoo, so Li rocked her Charms exam today, and has already finished her assignments for the evening.
It was a very good day for me on the scholastic front.
I'm having this absolutely dreadful craving for mashed potatoes. It started at some point while I was trying to get to sleep last night, and just keeps getting stronger. To make matters worse, by the time I got to dinner today, a group of people at my table had commandeered the potato bowl and refused to share.

I have the worse sore throat in the history of the United Kingdom.
Last night I didn't really have a voice, but when I woke up this morning, I could speak fine. Now, it's a numbing pain, and fighting between an aching dryness and a nauseating phlegmyness.
Ugh, I want to rip my own throat out. I'm considering going to the Hospital Wing, but Pomfrey gives me the heebie-jeebies...

My mother still calls her father "Appa".
Good way to start my entry, I think.
Why then, am I being a little girl when I address my letter to my father, "Pa". I wasn't being immature, I was just being a lazy slob. Jesus. I don't need to 'You're a big girl.' lecture from a man who has his wife fold is knickers for him.
At any rate, I've found a penpal in Sayaka. It's a shame I can't just post her outright. Instead, I have to go threw the series of parent units. Me to My father, My father to hers, and her father to her. It's quite ridiculous, I've found, that we have no freedom of speech in our own letters, and that it takes so long to get from one of us to the other.
I really am quite fond of her. Simply put: She's great. Such a funny girl. Shame that I never see her.

Her name is Sayaka, I don't think I ever mentioned it.
I wrote her a letter today.
Three pages long.
It was just, rather boring, actually. I asked her how she was and all sorts of questions about herself, and her school. I told her a bit about mine. (Leaving out certain aspects, of course.)
I've owled it to my father to send/give to her.
I hope she replies... Soon.
All of my homework is done. I've been handing everything in on time, it's all been done perfectly.
I've been studying even when it isn't necessary.
I love school. Yes, indeed.
